About the American Legion Riders
The American Legion Riders are members of the American Legion who are also motorcycle enthusiasts. They can be found participating in parades, partaking in motorcycling events, and supporting the communities in which they live, work, and play. Members of the ALR come from the Legion, the Legion Auxiliary, and the Sons of the American Legion.

The National Executive Committee officially adopted The American Legion Riders (ALR) as a national program with Resolution 35 (October 2007) and Resolution 32 (May 2011)
To participate in organized rides, parades
and other community events and ceremonies that
are in keeping with the Aims and Purposes of
the American Legion.
To promote motorcycle
safety and education programs and to provide
a social atmosphere for American Legion members
who share the same interest.
To use our
Association to promote and support programs
of the American Legion.
Membership
Requirements:
- Must be a current member, in good standing, of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary or Sons of the American Legion.
- Must own a motorcycle of at least 350cc in size (self or spouse).
- Can vote in all matters of Chapter & State business.
- Must be a current member, in good standing, of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary or Sons of the American Legion.
- Must be old enough to have a motorcycle endorsement.
- Can vote in all matters of Chapter business.
- Legion Riders in good standing who for physical or medical reasons can no longer operate a motorcycle may be granted “retired" status by a vote of the local chapter membership.

Monthly meetings are held at Post 44 on the first Tuesday of the Month at 6:30 p.m.
