Sons of the American Legion – Bill Nenno
The Sons of the American Legion Post 44 held its regular meeting on Tuesday, Mar 19, 2013. In attendance were Gene Hill and Bill Nenno so a quorum was not met. It would appear that my personal appeals for more S.A.L. members to get involved in the administration of our Squadron have fallen on deaf ears.
Membership: Membership continues on at an appropriate pace. As of our March transmittal we now have 79 paid members for 2013. Our 2012 membership was 85 so we are very close.
Business: Because we did not have a quorum no business could be conducted.
S.A.L. Officers: It was our intent to nominate S.A.L officers during the March meeting but we were unable to accomplish this due to the lack of a quorum. This will probably preclude April elections.

Being a S.A.L officer is not particularly hard or time consuming, but a slate of officers is absolutely necessary for our squadron to continue. It is time for S.A.L members to step up and do their part to guarantee our squadron’s successful continuance by running for an office.

As always, remember that organizations are not really organizations, they are just people. Help out when you can and when you see them, thank those that do help out and let’s all work together for the common good.
