Calendar:Next Riders meeting will be on the first Tuesday of the month: June 3rd at the Post at 6:30pm. The next scheduled ride would be on June 7th.

june1Scheduled Ride: The ride scheduled for the 10th of May was canceled due to inclement weather.

Special Announcement:

Chapter 5 has been designated to hold the NMALR State Picnic the second weekend in August

Other Activities

On May 15 Chapter 5 sent four Riders accompanied by four guests south to welcome the annual “Run For The Wall” riders as they entered Las Cruces. The weather was good and everyone reported having a great time. Below are some photos of the Riders and the gathering at Barnett’s Harley Davidson in L.C.

May 24th saw Chapter 5 . busy with Memorial Day weekend activities. Several members participated with others from Post 44 to place flags on the resting places of veterans throughout the city; New Cemetery, Old Cemetery and the Column resting place at the Veterans Memorial Park. Others went to Dam Site to set up a POW/MIA table and perform the ceremony for the assembled crowd.

Finally, on Monday, May 26th nine Chapter 5 members took part in the Memorial Day proceedings as Post 44 hosted the ceremony at the New Cemetery and participated in the parade from one location to the next. Unit 44 Auxiliary hosted the ceremony at Ralph Edwards Park and placed the wreaths in the river.

Our monthly meetings are held at Post 44 on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. – Feel free to drop in, guests are always welcome.
