Membership: We currently have 21 members.
Calendar: Next Riders meeting will be on the first Tuesday of the month: February 4th at the Post at 6:30pm. The next scheduled ride would be on February 8th, which coincides with the “Second Saturday Breakfast”.
Other upcoming events are:
The Legion Mid-Winter Conference will be in Roswell on the weekend of the 8th & 9th
The Valentines Day Prime Rib dinner will be Wednesday the 12th It’s prepaid, $10.00 and starts at 5:00.
A memorial fundraiser ride to San Antonio will be held on the 30th to help raise funds for Sharon Harris. the widow of Legionnaire Kevin Harris.
Rider Activities January , 2014
Scheduled Ride: The ride scheduled for the 11h of January was used to take time to recognize local merchants that supported the Veterans Memorial Park “Run For The Wall” bike rally on Saturday, November 9th. These merchants provided raffle and door prizes that helped make the rally a big success. The purpose of the rally was to help raise funds dedicated to refurbishing the Viet Nam Memorial Wall and was able to contribute $400 toward that cause.

On the 20th, the weather was absolutely gorgeous so a group of 6 riders and 4 guests had lunch in Hatch at The Pepper Pot. As usual the food was excellent. From Hatch they did the Lake Valley tour in reverse and paused in Hillsboro for a short stop.

On the 26th, 10 Riders, along with three guests (and a chase car) rode to Chloride to have lunch at the Chloride Bank Cafe. Once again the group was blessed with beautiful weather. The food was very good and after lunch Chapter 5 presented the owners with a certificate of approval for hosting the participants of the “Run For The Wall” rally held in November. Afterward there was a little souvenir shopping and short tours of the museum.
Our monthly meetings are held at Post 44 on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. – Feel free to drop in, guests are always welcome.
