Rides & Events
12/04/2014 – Our “esteemed” Road Captain picked the best day that week for a breakfast ride to Hatch. That best day landed us at El Faro in T or C or face cold wet rain and wind. We had a couple of tables full of hungry riders and the food was great, as usual. Let’s do it again!
12/13/2014 – The “Luminaria Walk” was a great success. We joined the Legion and Auxiliary and made it a “Family” event. They ran out of Sloppy Joes during the event and we ran out of hot chocolate right at the end. We served at least 15 gallons of hot chocolate. At times the lines were unbelievable. John Bush said “As one of the servers, I enjoyed our popularity and my heart was warmed by the words “thank you” from nearly every customer. There was also an occasional “Thank you for your service” that was appreciated.”
Thanks to the Legion and Auxiliary for their camaraderie and for furnishing most everything. Bob Duff made sure it happened and everything was there including 20 gallons of water and several bags of hot chocolate. Jim Coslin and his son, Darin furnished plenty of wood for the great fire that had several people sitting around it all night. Bob’s son and grandson pitched in again this year, doing most of the serving and were good company. Good show to all. Only had one Motorcycle though. The guys with the old army trucks beat us bad this time. Will have to work on that. We really got em last year though.
Our monthly meetings are held at Post 44 on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. – Feel free to drop in, guests are always welcome.
