Our new door for the front entrance is on order. Hopefully it will be here by the time you read this newsletter. Our next step is to find a good welder to install it. Anyone interested let us know.

Handicap parking is very limited. Please remember to use your placard for parking. If you don’t have one, don’t park in handicap spots. I have a placard but quit using handicap parking because we have people who need it more than me. Please be considerate of those who need it more. Thank you.

Our Hot August Nights party was a lot of fun. All 20 of us who showed up had a great time with the cake walk & name that tune. Good cakes too!

September is action packed with events, the 9-11 ceremony with the City is very important, please attend. Watch the calendar for other events.

The activities committee is in need of new members, Kathy Norton has resigned from the activities. Thank you Kat for your many years of work. We need someone to book music, do the newsletter and the calendar along with organizing events.

Remember our Troops, Veterans, their families in your prayers.
God Bless Everyone.

Thank all of you. Our fiscal year-end figures are the best they have been in 5 years. It takes a family to accomplish this.

The S.A.L.s have been a great asset to our club. Their cash donations to help purchase a new front door is greatly appreciated. Every project completed this year was done with the SAL’s help. Thank you!

Patty Kinney was elected as Volunteer of the Quarter for the purchase of the smoke eater and the cleaning of them every 2 weeks. Thank you Patty!

The executive committee has decided to hire a linen service to clean the towels and aprons to lift the burden of needing members to do the washing.

Don’t forget to sign up for the golf tournament, it’s our largest fundraiser of the year.

Elephant Day parade is September 8th, everyone wanting to participate please contact the office.

Welcome back Jim Corrons we missed you. Sue Barr will be returning soon, watch the calendar for the dates. Let’s show them how much we’ve missed them by dancing up a storm.

Membership and participation is what makes our club so great.

God bless America, the Veterans and their families!

Welcome to the end of summer and a Hot August Nights event! On August 12th we will be having a event that will be fun and in the cool air-conditioned Post. Music will be provided by Bob Acre with prizes for name that tune, some trivia and a cake walk. Grab your friends and family to participate in the fun!!!

Our 7th annual Golf tournament will be on September 1st @ 9:00 with a putting contest Friday August 31st. We have lots of raffle prizes being collected and as usual our community really comes together to make this a great success. The lunch this year will be at the Post and if you are not golfing you still can purchase lunch tickets at the door and raffle tickets as well!

Oh, the Volunteer of the quarter goes to Patty Kinney! She has donated smoke eaters and time cleaning them every other week. Thank you Patty for all you do and enjoy the parking space!

Music will be back in full swing in September, every Wednesday. For August we have Jim Corrons on August 1st and Sue Barr will be here on August 15th. Supporting these dinner and dance nights enables us to continue scheduling music. Come on in and support our entertainers and Charlene’s Dinners!!

Until next month, enjoy the summer, but Fall is on the way!
