Commander – Al Norton
I am pleased to say Post 44 is still operating in a positive direction. This is all due to member participation. Thank you all.

Our election of Post officers was held at the April general membership meeting. We only had one nomination for each office except Commander, there was no one. Because of this I am obligated to remain as your Commander. The elected officers are:

1st Vice Commander: David Thibeau
2nd Vice Commander: Bob Acre
Finance Officer: Ellen Penington
Sgt. at Arms: Gary Burrows
Chaplain: Vince Hadley
Historian: Bill Conklin
Service Officer: Dan Lanquist
Judge Advocate: Orlando Saavedra
Trustees:
1 year: Warren Rainwater
2 year: Brian Nikiforow
3 Year: Richard Kouldelka
Adjutant is reappointed: Tom Cleveland

Second notice of amendments to our by-laws: eliminating term limits of officers and omitting that officers cannot be paid employees. This is due to the limited amount of members available to help operate Post 44 on a regular basis. I congratulate all the members who stepped up to be officers.

Please continue to read newsletters and calendars to keep up on the happenings at our post.
Remember to pray for our troops, Veterans and all Americans.

God bless America and all Patriots

Finance Officer – Bob Nellis
March saw the largest gaming contribution ($7,500) to the Post for the first nine months of our fiscal year and April is tracking close to that figure. The bar continues to do exceptionally well. Overall the Post continues to run in the black.

The bar has almost reached their goal for the Happy Feet fundraiser. The new bar mats should be ordered in the near future. This should improve the aching feet and safety concerns.

This month will begin a Lucky Diamond prize giveaway presented by New Mexico Gaming. This promotion will begin May 1st and run through July 6th. Flyers and rules for the promotion will be posted throughout the Post and your bartenders will provide the tickets.
