Newsletter – August

Commander – Tom Cleveland
Well the month of July has come and gone! What a whirlwind of a month it was! So many special events, Memorials, and Celebrations of Life were held at the Post. Thanks to all who participated or provided the support to put the events together.

Special thanks to Bob Acre for putting on the Kamikaze Karaoke event in conjunction with the fund raiser for Wes Owens, and thank you to Mitzi and Jackie for providing a great Frito Pie meal. Ladies, repairs were made to the “Throne” in your rest room and a new hot water heater was installed and is operational. Bob A., David T., Lee J., and Mike B, thanks!!

Thanks David Helzer for your generous contribution of $500 to help offset the cost of new bar stools and pedestals in the Canteen.

The Post fiscal year ended June 30, 2022 and I’m happy to report that we ended up with a solid financial performance. Thanks to all our members and eligible guests for supporting the Post. Remember to stay focused on our mission – serving veterans, their families, and our community.

Newsletter – June 2022

Commander – David Thibeau
May is always busy at Post 44. This year was no exception with all our regular activities and a few new ones, including our traditional Memorial Day events. Thank you for your participation and support. Our new cook, Christian, is doing a great job with Friday night grill and will start serving some Wednesday night dinners starting this month.

This is my last month as Post 44 Commander. After serving as your Commander for nearly 3 years, this is my farewell report. It has been both challenging and rewarding and I am proud to say that I leave the office with the Post in good condition and in strong financial health.

Installation of new officers will be at the next General Membership meeting on Saturday, June 18, 22 at 10:30 a.m. They will assume their duties on July 1, 22. Please continue to support them as you have supported me. It has been a privilege and honor to serve as your Commander.

Thank you.

Remember to stay focused on our mission – serving veterans, their families, and our community.
