Happy New Year!

2021 presented some challenging times for Post 44, but we made it through in pretty sound financial shape. Thank you all for your steadfast support and generosity as we look forward to another successful year in 2022.

Let’s all work to stay healthy and focused on our mission of serving veterans, their families, and our community.

The next General Membership meeting is Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Post.

Newsletter – December 2021

Commander – David Thibeau
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is looking forward to the Christmas holiday season.

Mark your December calendars for the Luminaria Beach Walk on the 11th where the Post will be serving up our delicious sloppy joes and hot chocolate.

On Saturday, the 18th, Santa will be at the Post to hand out gifts to our Angel Tree kids and also later that evening, we will enjoy the Legion Christmas Party, with a potluck dinner, followed by a white elephant exchange and ugly sweater contest.

Our newly updated Post 44 website is where you’ll find the latest newsletter and calendar with all the monthly activities.

Big thanks to all the Post kitchen volunteers who have been preparing and serving meals the past few weeks. We are still looking to hire a cook, but in the meantime, if you are willing to help your Post, please sign up on the Post Bulletin Board, contact me or the Post, or contact a member of the Activities Committee.

Have a very Merry Christmas and joyous and healthy New Year.

The next General Membership meeting will be Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Post. There is no General Membership meeting in December.

Bill Conklin – Financial Officer
First of all I’m glad to see everyone again; it was a long difficult time. Now we have that behind us. Financial we are doing ok, not great or losing. The last 4 months we have managed to make a profit (July over $10,000, August over $10,000, September $-3200 loss, and October $3,000) as you can see, not bad. The office has made the change over, Kristin is the new office manager with Mitzi as her back up and gaming auditor. They continue to work hard for us.

Looking forward to the upcoming months and getting back to somewhat normal.

If you have any questions please contact any officer or put it in suggestion box, remember you need to sign it so we know who to contact if need be and get you an answer.

See you around the post.
