COMMANDER Al Norton

What an awesome month February has been. Sold out 80 Valentine’s Day dinners. Our volunteers in the kitchen have excelled yet again. All of our participation in these activities is what makes this a great family to belong to.

The open auction was just flat out fun, and profitable. Thank you TD Knull for the outstanding performance as auctioneer. To all who donated the goods to be sold, job well done. These types of successful activities are what we need to keep our Post a wonderful club to belong to.

Remember it takes all members of every unit within our club to make this a great Post.

The suggestions I’ve received regarding Karaoke has been turned over to the activities committee for further review as it is their decision to make those changes.

The new business hours for the Post are a result of discussion & vote by our Executive Committee which, as we know, is the board elected officers of Post 44. The Executive Committee is constantly working on ways to cut costs and increase profit to make us a successful Post. Everyone’s input is needed. Please submit your ideas in the suggestion box or better your attendance at the monthly meetings.

EFFORTS BY ALL 4 UNITS OF THIS POST IS REQUIRED to make us a great family unit. I am looking to future events and seeing all of you at Post 44

P.S. Lead bartender, Brittany (The Brat) is leaving us for bigger and better opportunities on March 5th. Come by and say thank you for your service and good luck in the future.

Would like to start off on a good note, thanks to Linde and Kathy we made it through the I R S audit with minor problems and are now in good standing with them. They also came across 940 and 941 taxes that hadn’t been paid, once again we are up to date. The back Property taxes in the amount of $3400.00 were paid in full on 13th of February. As you can see progress is being made. Now for some of the highlights in January, the post turned a profit of about $ 1500.00 so for year to date it’s a positive almost 4000 dollars. Gaming was up slightly over the last couple of months and the pull tabs are doing well. The post has gone to new operating hours effective 1 March, closed Sunday, Monday thru Thursday 12:00 to Continue reading
