Newsletter – November 2019

Commander – David Thibeau
October brought unusual events for Post 44. Commander Gary Burrows resigned due to health issues. With this vacancy, I, as 1st Vice Commander, became Commander. Al Norton was elected to fill my office and is now 1st Vice Commander. Our Chaplain, Vince Hadley, also resigned and has moved to Illinois to be with his family. We expect his vacancy to be filled this month.

Thanks, Gary for your dedicated service. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. We will miss Vince, his friendship and his dedication to the Post. We wish him the very best.

I promise to do my best honestly and fairly to fulfill the duties and responsibilities as your Post Commander.

With your help, we will continue the traditions and success of our Post

We are nearing the close of our first fiscal quarter and remain financially solid. The kitchen continues to improve although the bottom line wasn’t as good as anticipated due to a significant restocking of the kitchen. The bar continued operating at the same level of net income it has for the past several months. A high point of September was the golf tournament which was a huge success resulting in the presentation of a $1500 check to each division of the Post at the last gene .
