Auxiliary President – Ginny Lucero (ph: 505-453-7401)
In October, the Auxiliary donated all of the funds received from the golf tournament back to Post 44 for repairs and a new ice machine.

We have reached a milestone in mailing 10,000 care packages to our deployed troops. The American Legion Auxiliary Magazine will be mentioning Unit 44 in their next publication for our efforts in mailing care packages.

The District 7 meeting will be held in Deming on Saturday, November 5th beginning at 10:00 a.m. $10 includes registration fee and lunch. All members are welcome to attend.

Our next bake sale is Saturday, November 12th in conjunction with the Women’s Club to be held at Albert Lyons Event Center in T or C along with a car show. We always need baked items so if you wish to bake or help out, please call me. All of the proceeds of this bake sale go directly to the NMVH to help our Veterans.

We have lots of opportunities to bake in November/December: Cookie trays to the businesses in town that support us with delivery on December 8th; pecan pie muffins for the Luminaria Beach Walk on Saturday, December 10th; and cookies to our troops to be packed and mailed on Wednesday, December 14th.

The Auxiliary will be providing the Wednesday night meals on November 2nd and 9th. Thank you to Nancy Trueblood and Dixie Trujillo for stepping up to cook. Our Veterans from the NMVH will be joining us for dinner on Wednesday, November 2nd. Sue Barr will be providing music.

Bunco this month will be held only on Thursday, November 10th at 1:30 at the Post. Cards/games will be held at the Post on Monday, November 7th and 21st at 1:00. Everyone is welcome to join us. If you have a special game, bring it along and teach us how to play.

Our next meeting will be Saturday, November 19th at 10:30 a.m. There is no monthly meeting in December.
