Care Packages – Marty Novak
We sent 18 Care Packages in March. Thanks to all who came to help. Thanks to the JROTC and Sgt Haro for coming to help up pack, take inventory and carry the filled boxes out to the car. Most of the kids had helped before and all jump right in and help where ever needed.

Thanks to our American Legion Family for the help and support they give us, to the members, non- members, groups, organizations, and business of our community for their monetary donations, memorials and donations of supplies.

WE HAVE CANCELLED THE APRIL CARE PACKAGES. IT WAS A HARD DECISION TO MAKE BECAUSE THIS IS THE 1ST TIME IN THE 17 YEARS WE HAVE BEEN DOING THIS THAT WE HAVE MISSED SENDING CARE PACKAGES TO THE TROOPS EACH MONTH. BUT WE FELT IT WAS BEST TO SKIP THIS MONTH.

Stay home and stay well.

What is a Veteran: A Veteran…whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve…is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount of “up to, and including his/her life.” That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today, who no longer understand that act..
