Legion Family Visits Elementary Schools

Monday, November 12, the “American Legion Family” visited students at Sierra Elementary and T or C Elementary Schools.  This week was dedicated to “Education Week” and Monday featured Veterans Day!

The Commanders from Post 44 and Sons of the American Legion and the Presidents of the Legion Riders and Legion Auxiliary Unit 44 visited a class from Grades 2 through 6. 
The students learned what a Veteran is and why we annually celebrate Veterans Day.  The Legion Family handed out American Flags, patriotic comic books and patriotic wristbands to the students after the class discussions.  The Post would like to Thank the schools for allowing us to be a part of this very special day.
