The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 44, Elephant Butte is so proud of Eryca Bartlett and Tessa Jones. These young ladies represented the Unit at Girls State this year. Eryca and Tessa shared their experiences with the Unit and sang an traditional awesome song from Girls State…regarding men or the lack thereof! American Legion Auxiliary Girls State is a nonpartisan program that teaches young women responsible citizenship and love for God and Country. High school girls, who have completed their Junior year, spend an intensive week of study at ENMU in Portales, working together as self-governing citizens.
