Newsletter – May 2022

Auxiliary member Nancy Trueblood is preparing a lasagna dinner on Wednesday, May 4th.

Our next bake sale is Saturday, May 7th; set up is at 8:00 a.m., sale is from 9-12:00 pm. We always need baked items, if you wish to bake or help out, please call me.

Fiesta weekend is May 6th-8th; the American Legion Family is hoping to have a float in the parade. If you are interested and have a motorcycle, golf cart or ATV, please join us. For more information, call me or the Post.

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone! The Sons of the American Legion will be preparing a brisket dinner with all the sides starting at 4:00 p.m. All moms will eat for free.

Bunco is being held Thursday, May 12th and May 26th at 1:30 at the Post.

We anticipate having a poppy distribution Memorial Day weekend, if you are able to help out for an hour or two, please contact me. You’ll meet some wonderful people and it’s a good way to let our community know who we are. Invite your significant other to join you.

We will be electing new Auxiliary officers in May, if you are interested in one of the positions, please call Maurene Justice or Marty Novak, the nominating committee. Please mark your calendars to attend our May 21st meeting.

Our general membership meeting will be May 21, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Easter eggs will be available soon from your bartender; $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. They will be filled with surprises.

Bunco is being held Thursday, April 14th and 28th at 1:30 p.m. at the Post. In support of our troops we would like to send each one a “thank you” or “thinking of you” card in our care packages. If you would like to write our Heroes a note, please do so before April 13th, we pack the boxes and mail that day.
