Our Veterans from the NMVH will be joining us for dinner on Wed Nov 1. It’s so fun to watch our veterans dance and enjoy an evening with us. Sue Barr will be providing the music and entertainment. Our monthly bake sale will be Sat Nov 11 starting at 8:00 at Albert Lyons Event Center. The monies raised by the sale of the baked goods all go toward the NM Veterans Home for their needs and supplies for our heroes. We need baked goods so please consider making one batch of cookies for this very special day. Happy Veterans Day to all who served our country. Bunco will be played Thur Nov 9 & 30 and cards/games will be held Mon Nov 13 and 27 at 1:00. If you have a special game, bring it along and teach us how to play. The Post is having a soup potluck on Sun Nov 19 at 4:00 so bring your favorite.

We have lots of opportunities to bake in December. Cookie trays for local businesses will be assembled on Tue Dec 12 at 10:00; care packages will be mailed on Wed Dec 13 so we need sturdy holiday goodies for our troops away from home; and we will need pecan pie muffins for the Luminaria Walk on Sat Dec 9.

Our general membership meeting is on Nov 18 at 10:30. All members are invited and encouraged to attend.

This month we donated $200 Hot Springs Cemetery, $250 Sierra County Cancer Assist, $500 Luke Mauldin due to an injury, $50 for laminated song books as requested from Dept. of NM, and $1600 from proceeds of golf tournament to Post 44 for parking lot retaining wall reconstruction.

We are planning a semi-annual Auxiliary initiation at our Oct 21 meeting. If you have never been initiated, are a new member, or rejoining, please contact me so we can add you to our initiation list.

Our monthly bake sale will be Sat Oct 7 from 8-noon and set up begins at 7:00. Bunco is being held on Thu Oct 12 & 26 at 1:30 at the Post and cards/games will be on Mon Oct 2 & 16 at 1:00. Everyone is welcome to join us. If you have a special game, bring it along and teach us how to play.

Please come help us pick up trash in the neighborhood for about an hour on Tue Oct 10. Meet at the Post.

Mark your calendars for the annual Halloween Costume Party on Sat Oct 28.
