In September, the Auxiliary donated to Arrey Elementary for supplies and clothes and to Ray Hodges after his recent house fire.

Thank you to everyone who helped out at the golf tournament a few weeks ago. Without the help of everyone we couldn’t have made this fundraiser a success.

We have reached a milestone in mailing 10,000 care packages to our deployed troops. The American Legion Auxiliary Magazine will be mentioning Unit 44 for our efforts. Our next bake sale is Saturday, October 1. Set up is at 7:00 a.m. and the sale is from 8‐noon. We always need baked items so if you wish to bake or help out, please call me.

The Auxiliary will be preparing the meals on Wednesday, October 5, 12 and 26. Pick up a Post calendar to find out what’s cooking and who is playing music. Of special note, we will be welcoming our NMVH Veterans back on Wednesday, October 5. Brenda Breuer will be providing musical entertainment.

Bunco is being held Thursday, October 13 and 27 at 1:30 at the Post. Cards/games will be held atthe Post on Monday, October 10 and 24 at 1:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join us. If you have a special game, bring it along and teach us how to play.

We’re having a Halloween costume party/contest on Sunday, October 30 at 4:00 p.m. It’s time to start planning your costume. A finger food potluck and other fun events will be taking place the same night.

Our next meeting is Saturday, October 15 at 10:30 a.m.
